You know how playwrights are supposed to starve in garrets and struggle for years to get stuff put on?
Operate Trust aims to turn that myth around. with its Feast of New Theatre is hopes to contribute to a Christchurch theatre culture of abundance, confidence and celebration of local talent.
What is the Feast of New Theatre?
Six new theatre pieces, developed by local writers with the help of local mentors and actors, presented to the Christchurch public and theatre community in November 2006. This is a rare opportunity to see and discuss an exciting range of new works at the rehearsed reading stage.

- Playmarket's Write Out Loud rehearsed reading of a new play by Christina Stachurski.
- A public forum on Christchurch theatre issues.
- And a friendly bar to chat in with the writers and actors after the events.
